......what a soggy start....all the hills have caps on.
A thank you to the local bell ringers who brought the New Year in with the bells of St Peter's Church , that date from 1759. For more information on becoming a bell ringer, please click on this sentence / link,, It was a bright dry night with lots of fireworks.
A relatively local tradition... from just across the hill is a New Years song called Buff blow., collected by Gwilym Davies. Gwilym lives in Winchcombe and with lottery funding is collecting traditional music and songs www.glostrad.com
